Is there an interest to use Foreign Keys in a VDB ?

Hello,

we have created a federated VDB in read-only mode. I see an interest to implement foreign keys in our model, but just for a documentary purpose, so that consumers of our VDB are able to make the correct joins.

Apart from this use, does it have an interest ?

Will foreign keys have an impact on performances on a read-only VDB ? Same question for a writable VDB.

yes. Teiid's query optimizer will use any keys defined to optimize the query plan in certain situations automatically.
