How to re-render component before submitting AJAX request

Hello.

I would like to ask for elegant ajax4jsf solution how to handle AJAX request. For example I would like to disable button after its submit.

I would prefer ajax4jsf way, e.g. @onsubmit-reRender attribute. And I would like to avoid clearly javascript solution (getElementById.style.visibility...).

re-rendering works on ajax response. so, in this case, two ajax requests are required to cover your scenario. In general, it is possible to accomplish this with ajax button and jsFunction. However, I am not sure this way is more elegant that the client-side disabling.
