2. Re: Location of servlet jar in 3.2.4???
jcorbin4607 Jun 9, 2004 2:21 PM (in response to jcorbin4607)Thank you very much. I am going to update my ant build file to reference that file for the javax.servlet classes. Do you know if any of the other servlet-xxx.jar files are required to build on the build path when building web apps in JBOSS 3.2.4?

3. Re: Location of servlet jar in 3.2.4???
jae77 Jun 9, 2004 3:04 PM (in response to jcorbin4607)i don't believe so. unless you are doing jboss/tomcat specific things in your code, that's all you should need to compile.

4. Re: Location of servlet jar in 3.2.4???
jcorbin4607 Jun 9, 2004 3:17 PM (in response to jcorbin4607)Unfortunately, the servlet-api.jar constains only a subset of the javax.servlet.xxx classes. For instance, the JspWriter class isn't contained in this jar which leads me to believe the servlet-api.jar is a runtime only jar and not for development purposes.
If someone is building web apps using Ant against jboss-3.2.4 and Tomcat 5, I'd love to find out what servlet jar they are using for development.

5. Re: Location of servlet jar in 3.2.4???
jcorbin4607 Jun 9, 2004 3:23 PM (in response to jcorbin4607)I figured it out. The api's are spread across multiple jars in the Tomcat 5 installation. The files I was missing are located in jsp-api.jar in the same directory as the servlet-api.jar.
Seems like Tomcat changes the way they package this stuff every release. Argh!!!
