number of mdbs instantiated

Hello,

Is it possible to specify how many message driven beans to be instantiated at deployment. And also to specify a maximum number of MDB instances ?

yes, look in your standardjboss.xml under message driven bean to tweak your settings

where in the message bean section would i add the number of instances to be created . Here's what the mdb section looks like in jboss.xml

standardjboss.xml allows you to set the pool size, in your conf dir
