Multiple graphs on the same page?

    Graeme Harnish Newbie

Is it possible to have multiple graphs from different sources on the same page?

For example, a WAR files active sessions, and a CPU's utilization? As far as I've seen I can't find any way of doing this.

      Thanks, Graeme

Go to the Monitor Tab for a resource.

Left side, you see the resource tree - to the right of each item in the tree, you'll see a blue box with a white triangle (aka arrow) inside it. Hover over it, and up pops a box that shows all the metrics for the resource. Click the "+" to add that metric's graph to the view on the right. You just added that graph to the "Default View". You can create your own views (the drop down menu on the right side let's you do this).

Caveat: you can only add graphs for the current resource's parent or direct children (or the resource itself of course).

So I don't think your specific example will work - I don't think you can see WAR graphs with CPU graphs, since they are not separated in the hiearchy by a single level.

Thanks for the response. This is kind of what I figured. It's too bad, because I was trying to make one big consolidated view instead of having to click around. Thanks again for validating what I was thinking.

Yeah, you want something like what we call a NOC view ("network operations center"). We've thought about how we can implement/show something like that. We are in the midst of refactoring the UI to make this alittle easier to navigate around (the left side of our pages will have a resource tree, not just in the monitor tab) but there still won't be a big NOC view. The dashboard was supposed to provide something like that, but it doesn't really.

If anyone out there is willing to look into and contribute something like a NOC view set of pages, we'd definitely be interested in looking at what you got :)
