JBossMX usage with other app servers

      Hi

Has anyone been working on using JBossMX (especially XMBean) with other application servers?

      Thanks

Why would we want to work on other app servers?
We are busy enough working on JBoss :-p

          Regards,

I didnt mean to direct that question towards those working in the trenches.
            ;-)

I am reading up the JMX book (which is awesome by the way) and I am very interested in using XMBeans in our shop.

I am sure there are folks out here who are playing with more than one app server. I wanted to know if any of them could put JBossMX to use in an application server other than JBoss itself.

If anyone wants to replace RI with JBossMX, they might want to hear some success stories.

Once I get somewhere with this, I will post my experiences here.

            Thanks

yes this should be possible (that's why we provide the standalone MX version)

The code in the book was developed on Sun RI and IBM tivoli implementations, should work on all JMX compliant implementations.

we will package the JBossMX XMBean implementation as a separate component, and make it available to all JMX compliant implementations as well

Jboss replaced RI with JBossMX... that's a success story, no? ;-)
