RichFaces Calendar

Does any one know if it is possible to use RichFaces Calendar as a scheduler to record and view appointments, the documentation refers to the dataModel interface, but I was wondering if there are working examples that I can refer to.

The example in test-applications did not render in the browser.

Not sure what this means - I'd suggest that you get the demo application working (download the war file and toss into Tomcat 5 worked perfectly for me). Then you can take a look at the data model backing bean (org.richfaces.demo.calendar.CalendarBean).
