3. Re: JBuilder Integration Details
rollatwork Feb 10, 2002 1:59 PM (in response to farmboy)Hi Brent,
I've followed the instructions and am able to start JBoss within JBuilder, however, I always receive the error from the AutoDeployer saying it is unable to deploy.
I only receive this message from within JBuilder. I am using JBoss 2.4.4... could this be the issue?
Thanks Brent. -

afida Feb 13, 2002 1:27 PM (in response to farmboy)Brent I had used your wizard to setup JBoss 2.4.4 witj JBuilder6. It seems to be OK. Thanks for that. But I have the same problem as Roland where I am getting following problem
[INFO,AutoDeployer] Starting
[WARN,AutoDeployer] Cannot auto-deploy ../deploy
[WARN,AutoDeployer] Cannot auto-deploy ../deploy/lib
[INFO,AutoDeployer] Started
Do you know why?
Thanks

6. Re: JBuilder Integration Details
bthompson Feb 13, 2002 2:40 PM (in response to farmboy)you're running "catalina" go to your
jboss\conf\catalina directory or
if you're running "default"
jboss\conf\default
in the jboss.jcml file you have this section
<!-- ==================================================================== -->
<!-- Auto deployment -->
<!-- ==================================================================== -->
J2EE:service=J2eeDeployer;
JCA:service=RARDeployer
C:/JBoss2.4.4/jboss/deploy,C:/JBoss2.4.4/jboss/deploy/lib
put in the absolute path to the deploy directory -

8. Re: JBuilder Integration Details
bthompson Feb 14, 2002 11:10 AM (in response to farmboy)under project/project propterties/paths
set the working directory to the jboss bin directory
ie
C:/JBoss2.4.4/jboss/bin -
9. Re: JBuilder Integration Details
farmboy Feb 16, 2002 1:31 AM (in response to farmboy)BTW, by creating a directory structure under your project for deployment, In the document I use <proj_dir>/jboss/deploy, the project itself doesn't have any absolute paths in it. It requires you to change the jboss.jcml file to add the project you are working on to the deployer MBean. This allows you to better support team development. Not forcing teammates to have mirrored drives.
Brent approach works just as well, just realize that there will be some path dependencies in the jbuilder project files. -
10. Re: JBuilder Integration Details
farmboy Feb 16, 2002 1:35 AM (in response to farmboy)One more thing...
You may want to turn off the compile on each run feature. Nothing more annoying than to deploy a jar, try and run a client and having a new deployment occur during invocation.
You can do this under the project properties, run tab.
In this setup, to deploy a new jar, right mouse the ejb-group and select make or rebuild.
