We are currently using JBoss 2.4.10 and want to switch to 3.2.x. Are there any requirements for specific versions of RH Linux and kernel?

There are no specific requirements for JBoss with respect to the underlying OS. As long as the JVM can run on the OS platform, JBoss will run provided the JVM supports the Java functions JBoss requires. In the case of JBoss 3.2.x, this is a JVM ≥ 1.3.1 but it would be preferable to run a JVM ≥ 1.4.0.

In case of Red Hat 9.0 u will need the J2sdk 1.4.2 onwards, because of new threading model in Red Hat 9.0
