    setting datasource(connecting to mysql) on JBOSS

    caesarkim Newbie

      I installed successfully JBOSS and am trying to set up datasource to connect to mysql. this is my mysql-ds.xml sitting in /jboss/server/default/deploy

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

      <local-tx-datasource>
      <jndi-name>jdbc/MySQLDS</jndi-name>
      <connection-url>jdbc:mysql://localhost/projecteriadb</connection-url>
      <driver-class>com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</driver-class>
      <user-name>tester</user-name>
      testing
      <min-pool-size>5</min-pool-size>
      <max-pool-size>20</max-pool-size>
      <idle-timeout-minutes>0</idle-timeout-minutes>
      <track-statements>true</track-statements>
      <security-domain>MySqlDBRealm</security-domain>
      </local-tx-datasource>

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      when i use "jdbc/MySQLDS" for testing, it says "Error: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc not bound "

      so i am just wondering if there is anything else that i have to set up...

      please help...

      thanks in advance...
