scharlau Jul 18, 2002 11:48 AM (in response to edwardkenworthy)Edward,
under jboss-3.0.x/server/all/deploy should be jboss-net.sar. If you have one of the RC versions, then you get something slightly different. In any case, the jboss-net.sar is what you want to find.
I've also put up a page with working binaries of the jetty and tomcat versions at http://www.csd.abdn.ac.uk/~bscharla/soap.html if all else fails. You'll also find two example apps with/without ejbs to follow.
cheers

4. Re: Does *anyone* have Soap running ?
edwardkenworthy Jul 18, 2002 11:52 AM (in response to edwardkenworthy)I'm patently doing something dumb and missing something obvious - my only excuse being I haven't looked at JBoss since early 2.x days :-)
Anyway, yes I saw jboss-net.sar - tried copying it to default\deploy and got a bunch of errors as jboss tried to deploy it. Also tried sledgehammer approach and before starting jboss tried copying across the whole of all\deploy to default\deploy.
I downloaded your rtr 3.1alpha with tomcat binary - but that threw up a ton of errors when I ran it .
I'm running on Win200 sp2.

5. Re: Does *anyone* have Soap running ?
scharlau Jul 19, 2002 6:48 AM (in response to edwardkenworthy)Edward,
what's you setup?
What errors did you get specifically?
Are all of the environment things in place, ie J2EE, JAVA_HOME, etc set in the environment settings, and the all important classpath?
Give us some more info and we'll see what we can do to help.
cheers

6. Re: Does *anyone* have Soap running ?
edwardkenworthy Jul 19, 2002 8:13 AM (in response to edwardkenworthy)Ok, I'm running Win 2000 Pro sp2, on a sony picturebook.
JAVA_HOME points to my JBuilder 7 jdk (a Borland flavour of 1.3).
CLASSPATH points to the contents of Sun's xml pack summer 02 (activation.jar, xereces etc etc) and also to soap.jar
J2EE not set.
Currently using release JBoss 3.0 with tomcat, unzipped into "Program Files" with directory expansion.
No errors from JBoss when I start it using run.bat.
Trying the url you suggested I get a 500 response (no service configured) from Apache. -

scharlau Jul 22, 2002 7:04 AM (in response to edwardkenworthy)Edward,
sorry I didn't get back to you on this one. I'm glad to hear you got it sorted. Yes, the run.bat -c all is what you need to do to get everything going, if you don't move stuff across to the default setup directory.
cheers
