Check out the Hello sample in the jboss.net directory in CVS.

Thanks for the hint. I checked out the Release_3_2 branch and found the code. However, I cannot find the binary where the sample is built....I assume it will get build into something like hello.wsr and I can deploy it under jboss 3.2....

Run the build.sh under the Hello directory. That should build everything you need to deploy it to the server.
