    javax.naming.CommunicationException

      I have a JBOSS server running in my RH7.3 machine. I deployed one example from the tutorial. But got an exception
      "javax.naming.CommunicationException: Receive timed out. Root exception is java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Receive timed out" ..
      Any idea??

          Check ur /etc/hosts file. Add an entry for ur machine name and map that to 127.0.0.1 ..

          Check the news groups for Redhat and you would find the exact line to be added. I cant remember it off the top of my head. I think i saw it in FAQ newsgroups.
