I am not a developer, but have been tasked with setting up JBoss to run our application on a stand alone laptop to demo our software. The problem is that there is no NIC connected and JBoss will not start.
Can you get JBoss to run with no NIC connected??????
I think your problem is due to Windows not starting the TCP/IP stack when there's no network interface. Try http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2004/07/06/174576.aspx and use 127.0.0.1 as the loopback adapter IP
