1. Re: Multicasting only means of replication in POJOCache?
brucespringfield Aug 10, 2007 4:49 AM (in response to brucespringfield)I'm also assuming in multicasting, POJOCache is relying on JGroups in the JBoss Server?

brucespringfield Aug 10, 2007 5:13 AM (in response to brucespringfield)Okay, I see, JGroups multiplexing can also be used as well. Any other options? Which is better? Multicasting seems in many cases to be the better method in general networks.

3. Re: Multicasting only means of replication in POJOCache?
manik Aug 10, 2007 8:09 AM (in response to brucespringfield)If you use TCP instead of UDP in your JGroups stack, the cache will use unicast instead of multicast. For small to medium sized clusters, unicast can actually be *more* performant, so it is worth your while trying out one of the TCP configurations.
