          found a partial solution in posting :

          http://www.jboss.org/modules/bb/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t= need to modify the sql in jbossmq-service.xml

          to be something like :

          DELETE_MARKED_MESSAGES_WITH_TX = DELETE JMS_MESSAGES.* FROM JMS_MESSAGES AS MSGS,JMS_TRANSACTIONS AS TRANS WHERE MSGS.TXID=TRANS.TXID AND TXOP=?

          cheers,

            Hi colum,

            I used to have the same situation as u.
            There're two things, i think, u need to do.

            First, before version 4.1.0, MySql doesn't support sub-queries, such as "delete aaa from xxx where bbb in (select ccc from yyy)". But JBoss3.2.1 did do some sub-queries in its code. So, u know what u should do :-) Currently, MySql only has 4.1.0Alpha, but it works.

            Second, u need to modify the file $JBOSS_HOME\server\default\deploy\jms\jbossmq-service.xml, find a line "MESSAGEBLOB OBJECT, PRIMARY KEY (MESSAGEID, DESTINATION) )", change the "MESSAGEBLOB OBJECT" to "MESSAGEBLOB BLOB", cauz mysql supports java object with BLOB. U can find relevant info in file $JBOSS_HOME\server\default\conf\standardjaws.xml.

            In my case, MySql4.1.0 is on Redhat9.0, and JBoss3.2.1 is on WinXP. I'm now trying to run JBoss on Linux box, and have some problems. I will post again if figuring it out.

            regards,
            bill
