Apologies for a re-post, I failed to get any response last November and thought I better try one more time to make sure this is of no interest. I appreciate this may seem like pie-in-the-sky but I wondered if such a tool might be of use for demo/training purposes...

I've been developing a management application that generates a 3d visualisation based on the management model exposed by the jsr77 MEJB.

The idea is to give an intuitive representation of a j2ee deployment where the deployment may not be familiar to the viewer.

My website includes java3d based demo applets:

Following a show of interest from MarcF I put together a demo applet to illustrate how logging interceptors might be managed through such a model:

      ...and a snapshot:

Having worked for many years in the telecoms management industry I'm trying to get some feedback from the jboss and the open source j2ee community as to whether this type of tool could be of use in the day to day management of j2ee based systems.

      Any ideas?
      Is this of any interest?
