Inside eclipse I can edit html files just fine. I can even open up JSP files as text files using "open with" but when I double click the JSP to use the default editor I get a "Cannot create part" error followed by the .."An error has occurred when creating this editor" in the window that opens.

I've read in some forums it could be a memory problem. That's not it because I've got about 30 GB and plenty of ram....

I was using eclipse 3.0 when I had the problem. I reinstalled jboss ide from the updates menu along with the new eclipse and still get the problem ....
