Requesting a new feature for a given JBosss product or project is a simple process:

1. Create an issue of type "Feature Request" against the most specific project and component pair

2. Use priority "Major", "Minor" or "Optional". Priorities "Blocker" or "Critical" should be only used for a few key features that are high priority for a given version.

3. Set the "Fix for Version/s" field to the version when you want the new feature implemented.

4. Cast your vote for the issue to give it a better chance for prioritization.

Close to the release of the targeted version, check to see if the issues is assigned and is being worked on. If so, then you can read the issue comments for a progress update. Otherwise consider implementing it yourself and contributing the code.
