1. VFAT partitions in Knoppix

If your JBoss instance is located on a FAT partition (because your system is dual-boot or you are using a LiveCD), then you should know that Knoppix mounts that partition incorrectly by default (filename cases are not preserved).  This causes problems when the deployment scanner is trying to deploy things that are case sensitive.

SOLUTION: To fix this simply unmount the VFAT partition and remount the partition with the "shortname=mixed" option.
