Tuning SPECjAppServer2002

Components

There are a number of components involved in the SPECjAppServer2002 benchmark � Hardware, Java Virtual Machine (JVM), Benchmark Driver, Emulator Server, J2EE Application Server and Database. Therefore, the SPECjAppServer2002 benchmark will only perform as well as the slowest component. Tuning SPECjAppServer2002 requires some understanding of each component in order to tune the entire environment correctly. This section describes the tuning requirements for each SPECjAppServer2002 component.
