Hello friends of forum, after a lot of effort, investigation and headaches, I could have developed a portal with Gatein for the company Intralot.
This solution is mounted on four servers Gatein in Cluster (Load Balancer) and an Apache 2.0 with Proxy_Pass.
The problems that presented me to him were the following ones:
* Look and Feel. - The Skins and the Templates have been one of the first problems since the portal takes a page as a product and each one has a completely different style; the Gatein has a style for porttal and not for each of his page.
Solution: I used a Hack, thanks to an idea of a friend of the forum. The solution consists of placing the only portlet for every page (ID - unique) and that this one contains the style of the whole page; the style of the portal would be in target and would take the style of the only Portlet as a page.
* Communication InterPorlets between Pages (IPC) .-The communication between portlets was not of great problem, but the communication of Portlets between pages if that it was a headache; it is possible to place a global variable so that it was taken by the Portlet on another page but there was no form of redireccionar to the above mentioned page that had the Portlet.
Solution: The variable was placed in a global context and the redirection was realized using javaScript.
* CMS. - We never find a solution CMS that it could satisfy our needs, handling of news, comments, voting, use the protocol of communication of the CMS of the Gatein but without immediate results.
Solution: We create our own CMS using Portlets, who handles, news as the page (category) in which you are, he handles comments, the most adopted, filters, cloud of lettering.
* Time of Response. - We have had problems with the time of response, it is very slow.
Solution: We perfect the parameters of the JVM, balance the load, we moved the whole static content the Apache such as: Images, CSS, Flash.
* Incompatibility with IE8, IE7, IE6. - We Present incompatibilities with the Internet Explorer, whereas in Firefox everything was very well; any images are not seen, to sorrow that the routes are well.
Solution: We are in this process, have fitted more the CSS, defining condifcionales according to the navigator, being more specific in the syntaxes of the CSS like that stop supposing that the IE will interpret it as the FF does it.

Hola amigos de foro, después de mucho esfuerzo, investigación y dolores de cabeza, he podido desarrollar un portal con Gatein para la empresa Intralot.
Esta solución está montado sobre cuatro servidores Gatein en Cluster (Balanceo de Carga) y un apache 2.0 con Proxy_Pass.
Los problemas que se me presentaron fueron los siguientes:
* Cambio de Aspecto.- Los Skins y los Temas han sido uno de los primeros problemas ya que el portal tiene una página por producto y cada uno tiene un estilo totalmente diferente; el Gatein tiene un estilo por porttal y no por cada una de sus página.
Solución: Utilicé un Hack, gracias a una idea de un amigo del foro. La solución consiste en colocar un portlet único por cada página y que este contenga el estilo de toda la paǵina; el estilo del portal estaría en blanco y tomaría el estilo del Portlet único por página.
* Comunicación InterPorlets entre Páginas (IPC).- La comunicación entre portlets no fué de mucho problema, pero la comunicación de Portlets entre páginas si que fué un dolor de cabeza; se puede colocar una variable global para que fuera tomada por el Portlet en otra página pero no había forma de redireccionar a dicha página que tenía el Portlet.
Solución: Se colocó la variable en un contexto global y se realizó la redirección utilizando javaScript.
* CMS.- Nunca encontramos una solución CMS que pueda satisfacer nuestras necesidades, manejo de noticias, comentarios, votación, utilizamos el protocolo de comunicación del CMS del Gatein pero sin resultados inmediatos.
Solución: Creamos nuestro propio CMS utilizando Portlets, que maneja, noticias según la página (categoria) en la que te encuentres, maneja comentarios, los más votados, filtros, nube de letras.
* Tiempo de Respuesta.- Hemos tenido problemas con el tiempo de respuesta, es muy lento.
Solución: Afinamos los parámetros de la JVM, balanceamos la carga, movimos todo el contenido estático al Apache tales como: Imagenes, CSS, Flash.
* Incompatibilidad con IE8, IE7, IE6.- Presentamos incompatibilidades con el Internet Explorer, mientras que en Firefox todo estaba muy bien; no se ven algunas imágenes, a pesar que las rutas están bien.
Solución: Estamos en ese proceso, hemos ajustado más el CSS, definiendo condifcionales según el navegador, siendo más específicos en las sintaxis del CSS así dejamos de suponer que el IE lo interpretará como lo hace el FF.
