Introduction
Main Talk - The JBoss World Keynote Demo
This live demo of JBoss's latest technologies wowed the audience at JBoss World. I'm not going to give the secret away for those of you who have not seen it, but it was delivered to a large standing room only audience and has had a lot of superlatives used to describe it. This is one not to miss.
Abstract
The traditional role of middleware in the datacenter has been challenged to expand and meet the ubiquitous computing demands that are becoming more prevalent. The way applications are built, deployed, integrated, and managed must accommodate the rapidly evolving mobile and cloud paradigms, without sacrificing security or performance. Red Hat is at the epicenter of driving the standards and technologies with its JBoss middleware portfolio, which enables developers, architects, and IT executives to increase return on their existing IT investments and spur innovation in next-generation application environments.
Please join Red Hat's Dr. Mark Little, senior director of middleware engineering, Kevin Conner and Sanne Grinovero as they discuss the technologies and demonstrate Red Hat’s vision for how JBoss Enterprise Middleware will drive social, mobile, and cloud computing.
If you are a twitter user please bring your mobile phone with you to take part in the demo.
Speakers
Dr Mark Little is the Senior Director of Middleware Engineering at Red Hat. He sits on a large number of standards bodies and has presented at a wide range of Conferences. Prior to working at Red Hat, Mark has been heavily involved in transactions at HP, Bluestone and of course Arjuna.
Kevin Conner is the Architect for the JBoss SOA platform and is heavily involved in ESB.
Sanne Grinovero is a member of the Hibernate, Infinispan and JGroups teams, specializing on scalable search engines (focusing on Apache Lucene) and making sure that Hibernate based JEE applications scale nicely on cloud environments while providing a consistent developer experience.
The Talk will be followed by Refreshments and General Discussion
Break up about 8:30.
