Beginners and Getting Started - There are a number of beginners guides, both from JBoss and other resources.
Documentation - All the documentation is free to download with many of the downloads including examples.
Product Documentation - overviews, case studies, news, etc.
WIKI - This is a community editable website that allows users and developers to give up-to-date information over a shorter timescale than the official documentation.
FAQ - Your question is probably already answered in here to some degree.
Specs - You can find many of your questions answered here. If you think the spec is unclear, you should contact the spec lead. E-mail addresses for each spec can be found on the jcp site.

Read the Archived Change Notes - this will tell you about bug fixes and new features in each version.
