pixie Feb 26, 2008 3:57 PM (in response to pixie)Sorry had some trouble registering, and on entering my details multiple times I tried to keep my details as short as possible. Seems that short one actually worked though. So anyway back to the topic......

3. Re: changing default page from home.xhtml
monkeyden Feb 26, 2008 4:31 PM (in response to pixie)It's not in a config file. It's a META refresh tag in index.html, which redirects to home.xhtml.

pixie Feb 26, 2008 4:42 PM (in response to pixie)Thanks, I saw that file and changed the redirect to my login.xhtml but it still goes to home.xhtml for some reason.

5. Re: changing default page from home.xhtml
monkeyden Feb 26, 2008 4:54 PM (in response to pixie)In that case you must have changed something, because that's the mechanism used. Is index.html in your welcome-file-list? Did you add an errant navigation rule in pages.xml?

6. Re: changing default page from home.xhtml
pixie Feb 26, 2008 5:04 PM (in response to pixie)I used the seam-gen tool to generate everything, I haven't added any new navigation-rules to the pages.xml but I might have changed one incorrectly, I'll double check that. There is no welcome-file-list in my web.xml (I did some reading up on ICEFaces and thats the first place I looked) I did try adding one but it didn't seem to work. Thanks for all the help, at least I know that changing the index.html should have worked. I'll go over any changes I made and double check I didn't make any mistakes.

nickarls Feb 26, 2008 8:24 PM (in response to pixie)If there is no reference to home.xhtml in index.html or anyware in pages.xhtml there is always the possibility of something being cached somewhere. Undeploy, clean, empty AS tmp dir, deploy...

keithnaas Feb 26, 2008 8:57 PM (in response to pixie)Does the browser cache need cleared out?
Also, try turning TRACE DEBUG on in your server log to see how the rendered view is being calculated.

pixie Feb 27, 2008 9:29 AM (in response to pixie)Thanks very much for the help everyone I did try clearing out all tmp folders and the browsers cache. Thanks to Kyles help I seem to have found the problem, it was with one of the navigation rules which was generate. I commented it out and it works fine now.
