I know you're very busy but wondered whether what i was asking was something that would be put back in for the proper 4.0.4 release or whether there is another way to get the transport.url information.
Alternatively is there a way for the servlet type endpoint to get information out of xml files deployed in the web service war file - like you can use for passing deployment information into servlets (in the web.xml file).

The Axis propriatary property transport.url has been removed.
If really needed you can use org.jboss.ws.soap.SOAPMessageContextImpl to get at all unified meta data (UMD) -
