You would have to add a lot of code on the client side to take care of situations when you want to display something but it has not been fetched already because of lazy initialization. -

Provided that your service method has a clear contract with your client on what is accessible and what's not, there is no problem. -

I have this issue now. Could you provide an example of what you mean by a "clear contract with your client" ? -
