In 4.0.4RC1, it seems we've removed DefaultDS from persistence.properties, meaning that you are now forced to specify a datasource in persistence.xml. That strikes me as a very unfriendly and un-jboss default. Even the spec (see 6.2.1.8) suggests that not specifying a datasource is a reasonable thing.

Is it intended that when we ship we will now have to specify a datasource?
