getting selected row data from scrollableDatatable

HI

im new to this.help me....

I created a seam project.
And in my page i have a scrollableDatatable.
I populated the table using an arraylist.
Upto that its fine.

Now i have some textboxes in my page.
And when the user selects the row, the values in the selected row should come to the textboxes.

when i searched , all examples of selection and getting the data is using a button action.
ie first the row is selected and then user has to click a button to populate the textboxes with the values from table.

But i want it immediately when the row is selected???

Any idea.
help me out plz???

what about using a4j:support instead of a button? read please our docs in order to get examples about requests sending on some JS events.

You can use a4j:support with event set to onRowClick. Said that I can't make it work - the action will only fire on empty row

Did you lloked to livedemo? Have you seen the code to get selection?

I've maid only one modification right now by adding:

<a4j:support event="onRowClick" value="Show Current Selection" reRender="table" action="#{dataTableScrollerBean.takeSelection}" oncomplete="#{rich:component('panel')}.show();"></a4j:support>

to the table component. And all still works. I'm clicking the row and popup appears.
