can you give us some examples for bad JSF architecture? I remark that dataTable is rendered slowly when I use NumberConveter inside columns, so, can we say that the best architecture is to set all fields as a String.
otherwise, Im wondering what is the best JSF implementation to get the best performance with richfaces? Myfaces/JSF with/without facelets.. -

I'm glad somebody mentioned the ModalPanel because that seems to be the component causing me the most trouble.
I may have spoken too soon... perfomance is actually pretty good for most components, and the ModalPanel works fine on FireFox, but it's pretty slow on IE. Is there a known fix or workaround for this? We've switched to a regular Panel for now but the ModalPanel is more appropriate for our purposes.
