JBPM and Task Assignment

UML Activity Diagram defines the concept of Partition.

Normally these partitions are used to define which department (role) is responsible for execution an activity.

It would be nice to have a custom TaskAssignmentHandler that reads from an activity diagram which roles (pool of users) to assign tasks.

In JBPM designet there is no way to define partitions. It would be nice to have these to.

Is there such kind of feature in current release o JBPM?

I thinks yes.

But where can i find better definition for the term Swimlanes?

to be complete: jbpm does not support the generic concept of partitions as it is defined in uml 2.0.

jbpm only supports the swimlanes as defined in uml 1.5 (= one form and hence more limited then the generic partitions)
