An important component of most workflow systems is the ability to distribute items-of-work to the various actors(account holders) through an Inbox mechanism. Since you need to control the flow, and SMTP based email client will not cut it (since multiple copies can be sent out breaking the workflow).

Are there any opensource webbased Inbox implementations that can be integrated with JBPM ?
