Portal 2.2 - PAGES as Tab in the admin user interface

My portal application has more than 65 services relating to each other, each service having two or three pages.

As it is not clear to me, if TAB is a portal instance or a Portal Page - I believe right now it is a portal page, then it means more than 200 TABs on screen!

The current interface is just not appropriate.

I could group services into functional groups and ship each functional group as a separate portal instance but how much of multiple portal instances has been tested on 2.2 ?

You can also remove the navigation tabs portlet, and just rely on the side menu.

you can also introduce a hierarchie in your pages. Only the root level pages are displayed in the tabbed navigation, so you could organize your pages in a much smaller set of top level pages (that will be displayed as tabs) , and children pages of those.

My application is a portfolio of services, each being relatively simple.

2.2 has major enhancements and migrating my 800 portlets app is a piece of work - I hope not having to face severe regression.

We are expecting to pre-release it around march with workflow and jasper integration around june.

We have not decided yet on the business model. If you have guidance for us we will be happy to listen from you. You can write us at philippe.marzin@free.fr. The point is that we are concentrating on modelisation and code génération.
