2. Re: rich:calender enableManualInput how to accept any date p
panky_p Oct 24, 2008 5:49 AM (in response to panky_p)What actually I want is to allow user date in any pattern rich:calendar in my code as editable which means i want to allow user to input any data.
I had server side validation code which validates the date and convert it into required format (dd/MM/yyyy as what I need)
But as now I am restricted to specify only one date pattern<rich:calendar value="#{dateAction.dateSelected}" enableManualInput="true" popup="true" datePattern="dd/MM/yyyy"/>
Specifying single pattern is also fine for me but when user input values in MM/dd/yyyy or any other format and click on the submit button, the incorrect value gets cleared off and page doesn't get submitted as expected.
But there is no way to understand that the value input in calender is incorrect as there is no error message is displayed. -

panky_p Oct 24, 2008 7:14 AM (in response to panky_p)Hi got the solution but now my problem is how can I get converterMessage which is in message properties??
I can display following messageconverterMessage="Invalid date Format. Please enter valid date in format dd/MM/yyyy."
but when I try to get message from message properties it didn't display message.
Why is it so?? -
