1. Re: Can't use the last version of jQuery - menu and ajax don
nbelaevski Nov 20, 2008 8:31 PM (in response to vladimir.kovalyuk)Hello Vladimir,
jQuery overrides Prototype.js '$' function, that's why most of components stopped to work. I recommend to use version of jQuery that comes with RichFaces. It has been patched to support garbage collection after AJAX updates, while original doesn't do that.
Use<a4j:loadScript src="resource:///org/richfaces/renderkit/html/scripts/jquery/jquery.js" />
to add it to the page. -

vladimir.kovalyuk Nov 20, 2008 11:28 PM (in response to vladimir.kovalyuk)I will try to apply autogrow plugin with jQuery function instead of $.
Anyway I would recommend pushing jQuery authors to fix GC or provide you with a pluggable solution to allow us to work with the latest version of jQuery. -

vladimir.kovalyuk Nov 21, 2008 3:37 AM (in response to vladimir.kovalyuk)Nikalai,
thanks for the suggestion and hint about $.
It turned out that http://plugins.jquery.com/project/autogrow has one reference to $. I replaced it with jQuery and plugin started to work.
Please leave jQuery version in patched jquery.js file.
