Does nobody have any idea if this could work?
You could retrieve the entity beans over jndi.
You cannot do this in EJB3. (You did used to be able to do it in EJB2.) Instead you should create an EJB jar with your entities and deploy it into each EAR.
I had a feeling that I would need to do that. But that isn't also really a problem. Maybe it is even better is some cases.
