Here's what I get from the debug window:
Thu Nov 30 2006 21:08:17 GMT-0700 (MST): Request packet:
btw, I noticed that in section 7.8 (of seam_reference.pdf for 1.0.1.GA) there's a loading message that's supposed to appear in the top-right corner of the screen (does that really mean window?) I don't see any loading message in the window or on the screen.
Thanks for the help...
Oops, I guess I need to wrap that pointy stuff in a code block. Here's the debug output:
Thu Nov 30 2006 21:08:17 GMT-0700 (MST): Request packet: <envelope><header><context></context></header><body><call component="helloAction" method="sayHello" id="0"> <params><param><str>William</str></param></params><refs></refs></call></body></envelope>
It looks like you're not getting any response packet sent back by the server. Is it producing a stack trace?
I just figured it out. I had this:
After staring at that for awhile, I decided to do this:
<h:form> <h:commandButton type="button" value="Say hello..." onclick="sayHello();"/> </h:form>
Which works. Alternatively, I can take the original button out of the h:form and that also works.
Thanks for taking the time to help me out.
Of course, default button behaviour is to submit the form.
