1. Re: problem with a4j:support and javascript event
ilya_shaikovsky Dec 23, 2008 6:35 AM (in response to herbertdow)1) onselect description
Javascript code executed when text within this element is selected by the user.
Is it really the event you need? (Nothing about RF, just standard JSF event description)
2)<h:selectBooleanCheckbox> <a4j:support event="onclick"></a4j:support> </h:selectBooleanCheckbox>
works fine for me. request fired. -

herbertdow Dec 23, 2008 6:49 AM (in response to herbertdow)oops, yes of course. but if i do this:
<h:selectBooleanCheckbox value="#{ptn.selected}" onclick="dataTableSelectOne(this);">
<a4j:support event="onclick" reRender="ptnSearchButtons"/>
</h:selectBooleanCheckbox>
this is rendered:
nothing of the a4j-tag. and no ajax-rerendering happens. if i remove the onclick at the selectbooleancheckbox the rerendering works. how can i do both? call the javascript-method and do the a4j-support rerendering? -

herbertdow Dec 23, 2008 6:50 AM (in response to herbertdow)this:

4. Re: problem with a4j:support and javascript event
ilya_shaikovsky Dec 23, 2008 6:54 AM (in response to herbertdow)if you need to perform you custom js call and then trigger the ajax request - you probably should use JSFunction component. support works as designed. It will not add its call if the event - redefined on the component level.
