so add commons-digester to your application.
do you have a link where i can read more about that? where to add? just download the jars and include in web-inf\lib?
thx for your help
Yes, just put them into WEB-INF/lib. You can obtain all necessary files by unpacking richfaces-demo.war file: http://jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=104575 (see Ready-to-Deploy war RichFaces Demo:
* [J2EE Containers - Tomcat 5.5.x, JBoss 4.0.x and other]
* [Tomcat 6.0.x]
* [ JavaEE 5 Containers - JBoss 4.2.0 and other] - the one suitable for your configuration).
If you use Apache Maven 2 tool then all necessary dependencies will be downloaded automatically.
After including the jar files it seems to get me another step forward to richfaces. I really apreciate the fast and competent help in here. Unfortunately the documentation doesnt really seem to be as helpful as this forum. Neither the common ... needed files (see above) were mentioned in the tutorial. Nor is said, what else is missing, because i am still getting another error:
17:31:23,062 ERROR [[/myApp...]] Exception starting filter richfaces
javax.servlet.ServletException: Error parse web application config
do you know any tip how to handle this, too? thx in advance if you can help.
org.ajax4jsf.config.ParsingException: No filter mapping set for a filter richfaces
this is followed after the exception named above. but i HAVE this filter mapping in web.xml :(
seems i found the solution. :-(
the following line...
must be changed to
<servlet-name>NAME OF YOUR FACES SERVLET...</servlet-name>
