# Trying to build seam-2.0.0.BETA1

Anyone else seen this? Do I need maven to build Seam now?

\jboss-seam-2.0.0.BETA1\build.xml:1045: The following error occurred while executing this line:

• ###### 1. Re: Trying to build seam-2.0.0.BETA1

I've got exactly the same error in the 2.0.0 BETA1

I then got the most recent release from CVS and there the Seam IOC compon ent does not compile

A lot of example do not compile either: like spring, hibernate2

• ###### 2. Re: Trying to build seam-2.0.0.BETA1

There was a problem with the BETA1 distribution - it was missing some required files for compiling. Sorry about that. This was fixed for the nightly builds.

• ###### 3. Re: Trying to build seam-2.0.0.BETA1

davidjoseph: Working with jboss-seam-CVS.2007-08-29_01-13-07 I have no problem with any of core modules or the examples mentioned compiling. Which specific build are you having problems with?

• ###### 4. Re: Trying to build seam-2.0.0.BETA1

for example the main build file: i get this error:

initioc:

compileioc:

• ###### 6. Re: Trying to build seam-2.0.0.BETA1

Which distribution of Seam? A nightly build or 2.0? Which build target are you running?

• ###### 7. Re: Trying to build seam-2.0.0.BETA1

It was the latest checkout from CVS. What I did now is: I removed all files from the checkout dir and updated again from the repository. Now the build runs successfully. Strange... I cannot explain how this is possible.

Thanks for you help though.
