    JVM crashed running JBoss-4.2.2.GA

I got a hotspot JVM crash when running JBoss4.2.2.GA. It crashed at a call to a function resides in a DLL. The strange thing was it didn't crash if stepping through in a debugger. And the same code runs fine on JBoss-4.0.4.GA. I saw a similar post at sun's forum, but nobody has replied yet. So I am seeking help here. Can someone help please? Thanks a bunch.
