stmathew Nov 13, 2007 2:22 PM (in response to balaji_t_ryan)Hi -
The tutorials work for me now. I am trying to get the portlet to display content from the Oracle DB. I can do it using JDBC, but have been unsuccessful with querying using Container connections.
I see 2 *-ds.xml files. My Oracle connection is correctly configured (I think) in portal-oracle-ds.xml. What other things do I need to do next to get a connection from the Container?
Please help..
Thanks,
- Sunil -

memema Nov 16, 2007 3:31 AM (in response to balaji_t_ryan)Hello,
I tried to run the HelloWorld JSF Portlet in your portlet tutorial at http://labs.jboss.com/portletswap/portlets_tutorial.html.
I am getting
16:13:48,692 ERROR [STDERR] Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.myfaces.portlet.MyFacesGenericPortlet
I am using jboss-portal 2.6.2GA. Which jar file should I include to solve this error?
Tried putting portal-common-lib.jar, myfaces-impl.jar and portlet-api-lib.jar in default/lib but ended up with more errors.
Thanks. -

memema Nov 16, 2007 4:00 AM (in response to balaji_t_ryan)Hi,
The zip is HelloWorldJSFPortletJboss.zip. Just download it today.
The jboss portal version is jboss-portal-2.6.2.GA which is the latest version.
Thanks -
11. Re: Jboss portlet tutorial
theute Nov 16, 2007 4:04 AM (in response to balaji_t_ryan)There is no such zip linked on the page you mentioned.
Also i have to guess that you use the bundle version of JBoss Portal 2.6.2, embedding JBoss AS 4.2.1.GA.
So if my guesses are right you need to get the download "For JBoss Portal 2.6 and JBoss AS 4.2.1 (configured for Sun RI)"
http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/portletswap/portlets/2_6/bundles/HelloWorldJSFSunRIPortlet.zip -

Thanks for the quick reply.
I used the version For JBoss Portal 2.4 (configured for MyFaces) on that page. Thanks again for the clarification.
