I was reading this document before I ran the Portal from binaries. I would like to clarify that this is not a question related to the use of the JBoss Portal as such. Rather I want to be able to understand where the 'database' stands with respect to the CMS and the Image Gallery Portlet.

I reproduce one line from that document.
"By default, the JBoss Portal CMS stores all node properties, references, and binary content in the database, using the portal datasource. The location of some of these items is configurable."

I remember that i did not configure any database. So how do I configure my database?

Do I use the hibernate.cfg.xml to somehow specify my database.

Or do I have to dig into the source code of CMS or Image Gallery Portlet to insert some JDBC code in it?

Please excuse me for my naive questions. I am working hard on my own to get myself equipped with knowlege
