the idea of commands that we started in jbpm 3 will be fully finalized in pvm.
a web service exposing these commands will be *in* the scope of the pvm project, though not our first priority. might take till somewhere next year if no contributor shows up and if we have to do it ourselves.
I will be that contributor.. i can do it in parallel with the spring inicialization environment..
Do you have some ideas or tips? i do the webservices for jBPM commands.. I think this is same.. I will take a look at this too.. let me know if you have some ideas..
i think you have more chances of success if you focus only on one task at a time. especially if the tasks are as big as spring support and web services.
but if you want to get started on web services anyway, you have to take a look at the WS implementation in jbpm.3 sources. in module jbpm.3, directory jpdl/ws, there is an implementation of a jBPM web service interface based on commands.
probably that can serve as a basis for what we want to do on pvm. please, first have a look at the WS codebase on jBPM 3 and let us know what you think of it.
once you know exactly what you want to do in that respect, we'll create a separate subproject in the new jbpm svn repository for it.
I am already see and improve the web services capabilities of jBPM but i never can commit this changes beacause Heiko never response my mails.. So i have some knowledge of this topic.. this weekend i focus in the spring thing.. then.. i will be back with the web services..
