Problem with XA transactions on JBoss 4.2.1

Hi,
we have some problem working with Java JEE and XA transactions . We are using JBoss 4.2.1 on a Linux machine that has two datasources one that goes on an DB2 (AS400/iSeries) and the other taht goes on a Postgres 8.2.
In some circumstances it happen that a transaction (XA) that involves the two DBs expires and when it happens on the AS400 machine some jobs start consuming a lot of CPU processing. We tried to stop those jobs but we did not succeed and the only way to kill them is to do an IPL (reboot the machine). Just to test we tried to use JBoss 4.2.2 and it seems that the issue (at least the one involving two phase commit transaction) disappeared. We researched a bit on internet if something has been done in JBoss 4.2.2 about XA transaction "bug fixing" but we found no information, does someone knows something about ?

I'm not aware of any substantive changes to the transaction handling code between AS 4.2.1.GA and AS 4.2.2.GA. We have corrected some minor issues with timeout handling, but high CPU on the db server sounds more like a db issue than something relating to the AS itself. Did you change the db drivers or any other 3rd party component as part of the upgrade?

jhalliday, do you have JIRA tickets handy describing the timeout problems in 4.2.1? I'm trying to diagnose some connection weirdness in that version.
