Good stuff, thanks!
I am using JBoss 4.2.3 and followed the steps for JBoss 4.2.X but am confused as to how to set value for docBase.
The example shows:
To what folder does "/home" correspond to?
What do I set docBase to if my resources folder is: "C:/Users/ABCD/images" ?
The example is from Linux, where "/home" is the diretcotyr that contains user subdirectories. It is the Linux equivalent of C:/users" on Windows since Vista. So you would set:
now that you mention it, seems obvious
modified server.xml as suggested in the wiki and now can see my images - for some reason, and I was guessing it was due to \ or / path separators, I was getting error when accessing images hence my query.
Nopoe, now I know why it was failing - I used lower case filename extension: .jpg instead of uppper .JPG !!!!
You have to remember that a "\" is an escape character in most Java processing, thus if you want to use "\" you would have to double up on it. Example: C:\\Users\\ABCD\\images
Personally, I avoid the backslash whenever possibly.
