XA Transaction with external orb

Hi,

Is it possible to have JBoss start a global transaction and have an external ORB (Orbix in this case) be a participant as a client in the global transaction? Can't seem to get it to work properly. I had been using the Iona client libraries. Should I be using the jacorb libraries that are bundled w/ jboss?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Interoperability with other ORBs isn't something that we've tested for a while and not for 8+ years with Orbix. You'd need to make sure that the receiving ORB is expecting the context in the right place in the IIOP request and that will depend upon which version of CORBA your ORB supports as well as which version of the OTS.
