ilya_shaikovsky Mar 31, 2010 3:26 AM (in response to suzhoubeauty)could you please provide some screentshots? And even better to check with fireBug which styles caused your page to become broken.

ilya_shaikovsky Apr 1, 2010 3:31 AM (in response to suzhoubeauty)Do you created project with seam-gen? It creates theme.xcss resource which conflicts with some standard skinning properties of RF. If it happens on such clear page without any CSS additional stylesheets - I still recommend to check with firebug which styles breaks the styling. How about resources loading statuses at Net tab?
And if the result is the same for all browsers? or if there are problems with particular one?

ilya_shaikovsky Apr 1, 2010 3:27 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)B.t.w. I see that your inputs and button has borders from skin but seems just there are some problems with background-* properties.

suzhoubeauty Apr 2, 2010 1:31 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)I appreciate your reply very much, which will give me more confidence to learn and use richfaces.
I create Enterprise Application Project in MyEclipse 7.0 Milestone-1, not seam-gen.
I run the project under IE6, IE7, IE8, Firefox 2010 and 360Browser(a famous browser in China), the problem appears under all these browsers. And I have noticed a detail on these browsers that when the page is loaded or freshed, the appearance is in richfaces skin, but about 0.5 second later, the page turn into the ugly appearance.
Today I download firebug and IE Developer Toolbar(a firebug for IE) to test the CSS, and I notice an interesting phenomenon: When I disable Script in IE6 using IE Developer Toolbar, the page looking seems in richfaces skin! Of course, as the Script is disabled, I could not click Login button to enter my system any more. I'm really puzzled with this phenomenon, it seems that the script conflicts with its brother css style? Or the browsers css overwrite richfaces css?
I haven't tried this in firebug 'cause I don't know how to use it, further more, most customers use IE but not firefox.
I will put on my project screenshot on this page for you to check.
This is not a vital problem I know, and will not affect system running, but is really very very strange. And the problem does not exist in richfaces 3.1.4.

nbelaevski Apr 2, 2010 1:04 PM (in response to suzhoubeauty)Hi,
Try removing this line:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
Also can you please post screenshot for RF 3.1.4?

suzhoubeauty Apr 6, 2010 4:54 AM (in response to nbelaevski)Find an interesting thing.
Today I open the richfaces live demo of extend datatable using IE, and click the icon of Edit.
The web site is
http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/dataTable.jsf?tab=editDataTable&cid=13833355
It seems that on my computer, all the appearance has the same problem, I'm using IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.091208-2028.
Hmmmm, maybe I should expect for the next edition?

nbelaevski Apr 6, 2010 6:31 AM (in response to suzhoubeauty)Ok, that's how skinning for standard controls looks like on IE6. It's not possible to make it look like on IE7 or FF.

13. Re: When I update richfaces from 3.1.4 to 3.3.3, its skin seems invalid, why?help me!
suzhoubeauty Apr 6, 2010 9:28 PM (in response to nbelaevski)I don't think so.
Look at the live demo running on IE7.
It looks more beautiful than on IE6, but notict the inputtext and the button, I don't think that the richfaces skin running well, I believe that it's still running under IE looking.
I have mentioned that in 3.1.4 it works well, and I also mentioned that in 3.3.3, if I disable script using IE Developer Tool(a firebug using on IE), it also looks well. I believe that in 3.3.3 the script for the widget has been different from 3.1.4, and just so the script affect the skin.
I still say that in China, most customers only use IE, they will never consider any other browser.

ilya_shaikovsky Apr 7, 2010 3:04 AM (in response to suzhoubeauty)Sorry, but seems we need some screenshot
I don't think that the richfaces skin running well, I believe that it's still running under IE looking.
I have mentioned that in 3.1.4 it works well,
which would illustrate what do you mean by "running well". The last one from IE7 looks fine for me.
