1. Re: Can Oracle ADFFaces be used together with RichFaces and Seam
ilya_shaikovsky Jun 8, 2010 2:39 AM (in response to maynard)We did some integration samples with Trinidad and it's proven to be compatible. But doesn't created ones with ADF Faces. Let's wait maybe somebody from the community will give you some pointers. B.t.w. which components you misses?

2. Re: Can Oracle ADFFaces be used together with RichFaces and Seam
maynard Jun 8, 2010 4:12 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)Well - this is connected with my previous post - rich:calendar (used as organizer - e.g. - some information displayed on each day) stretches and blurs on rerender, so - I am interest in ADFFaces Calendar component. I checked Trinidad - at least from documentation - there is chooseDate component, but no calendar-organizer.
I would try ADF (verions 11 which has calendar and Ajax support) immediaetly, but it seems to me, that it comes together with JDeveloper and it is not easy to find it as standalone package. I should try to extract it from ADF demo application.
There are posts that this has been tried even some years ago.

3. Re: Can Oracle ADFFaces be used together with RichFaces and Seam
maynard Jul 1, 2010 3:05 PM (in response to maynard)OK - I was trying recently to ADF and it was a bit surprise, that ADF already resides in the JBDS3.0 component pallette, however - simply adding adf tag import in .xtml page in my RichFaces/Seam project and then dropping some af:... components is not sufficient to get them working. I guess - maybe I should add them in my Java Buildpath or somewhere else in my project configuration, but strange thing is that I cann't find from where JBDS is taking from those libraries. Simple searcg for 'adf' or 'Oracle' named files in JBDS folders reveals nothing. It could be interesting to see at least ADF jar manifestos to determin which version is provided by JBDS. Besides - as far as I searched in Oracle webpage - there is no special downloads for ADF - one is required ot download full JDeveloper and do some hacking, if possible and legally allowed.

maynard Jul 2, 2010 5:53 AM (in response to maynard)There is interesting link
http://www.redhat.com/developers/rhds/JSFTools/JavaServerFacesSupport.html
chapter 3.2, unfortunately - this does not apply to JBDS 3. release, what is situation there? There is no description in JBDS 3 documentation.

nbelaevski Jul 2, 2010 12:17 PM (in response to maynard)How about extracting the necessary files from the demo: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/adffaces/11/doc/demo/adf_faces_rc_demo.html ?

6. Re: Can Oracle ADFFaces be used together with RichFaces and Seam
maynard Jul 5, 2010 1:51 PM (in response to nbelaevski)Thanks for suggestion, I am trying now. I have application with JSF 1.2 running on JBoss 4.3.2 so - I am rather cautious to add all the libs from ADF demo application in my application and I am adding one by one, but at present I am stuck with error:
17:04:20,715 ERROR [STDERR] 2010.5.7 17:04:20 oracle.adf.view.rich.context.AdfFacesContext <clinit>
WARNING: The implemementation of AdfFacesContext was not found. If this is a rich client application, it will not function. This is expected for Trinidad applications.

7. Re: Can Oracle ADFFaces be used together with RichFaces and Seam
nbelaevski Jul 5, 2010 6:06 PM (in response to maynard)Hmm, maybe it's missing some implementation classes? Does this happen only when you add RichFaces (add it to application classpath)?
