I'm thinking that it would be good to eventually have a designated maintainer per container (or container family). A comment in a thread that appeared in my search results for the jboss-maven-plugin prompted this idea:

When I was active at Cargo I've always wanted to get an active committer for each supported container and even better that this active committer be from the container development team. Well it seems we have this possibility here in the person of Matt Wringe. Matt works with Julien Viet (who created those patches) and he's willing to work on cargo to maintain the JBoss implementation.

Perhaps we should add to our wiki page of containers the person who is currently maintaining them, or perhaps mark it as such in JIRA (the issues for the vendor-specific container component will go to that person by default).
